Carol Rampey has always loved children.  She began her first career as a Registered Nurse, working with preemies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Pediatrics  ICU .  Marriage and children started the second career, Wife and Mom.  Returning to the states after four years as a military family living overseas, brought new challenges that included finding a home in an area with good schools, supporting her husband as he joined a group of Family Practice Physicians, enrolling children in kindergarten classes and over the next few years adding two more children to the family.

In 1994, with years of volunteer time under her belt, having served in every job a parent can hold,  2 children entering middle school and 2 children just beginning elementary school, Carol Rampey had reached her limit on the number of products, candy, candles, pizza and trinkets she was willing to ask parents in the PTA to sell, or friends to buy.  In a parent brainstorming session, the option of selling local grocery store gift cards was mentioned as a possible source of fundraising, and it was an epiphany moment for Carol.   She never looked back once she realized that fundraising could be as simple as making every purchase profitable for organizations, simply by using pre-purchased gift cards, instead of cash for payment on normal every day, budgeted items.   Career # 3 was launched.

Quickly word spread about a fundraising program that could raise funds quickly, without asking families to sell items door to door.  It is a simple concept, use gift cards for payment on items you already plan on buying, like grocery items, gas for your cars, clothes, movie tickets, yard, garden and household supplies.
