Chuck E. Cheese’s with Micah Hardt

The School Zone Podcast team welcomes Micah Hardt, regional learning and development manager of Chuck E. Cheese’s to the podcast. Micah has been with Chuck E. Cheese’s for 16 years starting as a party server in the showroom and now assisting corporate with team training and voice over work.

In 2004, Chuck E. Cheese’s developed a community outreach program that serves and cares for the community by helping schools raise funds. These evenings offer kids and family a place for fun while raising money for a cause. These restaurant night fundraisers are offered to schools Monday through Friday and schools earn 15% of the evening’s sales including food, drinks, tokens and merchandise. To date, Chuck E. Cheese’s has donated more than $15 million to local schools through the program.

How it works:

Step 1: Pick a Date

Monday – Friday, 3 – 9 PM
You must be a non-profit public or private preschool or elementary school with 75 or more students enrolled to be eligible. Only authorized school personnel or PTA/PTO representatives can officially book events.

Step 2: Submit Your Request

Call 1-888-CEC-4FUN, or do it online at chuckecheese.com. Please allow three weeks’ advance notice from date of booking.

Step 3: Promote Your Event

Take advantage of the online tools, available in English and Spanish, to help you promote your event with online invitations. Chuck E. Cheese’s will mail tokens and stickers to your school 21 days prior to your event and don’t forget to schedule your Chuck E. Cheese’s visit.

Step 4: Have Fun and Raise Funds

A percentage of all sales generated from your participating families, teachers, and community will be donated back to your school. (including food, merchandise, and token deals).

Teachers are important to the success of your child’s education. To thank them for all their hard work, we are rewarding them with a FREE meal and trip in the Ticket Blaster®.

What you Get

  • 20% donation to your school for all sales generated by your participating friends and family members, if you raise $3,000 or more. A 15% donation applies for any amount less than $3,000.
  • Materials to promote your event.
  • A 10-free-token sticker for each child enrolled.
  • A visit from Chuck E. at your school on the day of the event.

***********

For 40 years, Chuck E. Cheese’s has been the place where kids can experience unleashed joy and parents can count on a clean, safe, fun experience for the whole family. Supporting education is an important part of our business and we’re proud to say Chuck E. Cheese’s has given back more than $14 million to public and private education since the inception of our program in September 2004.

And now, if your school raises $3,000 or more during your fundraising event, your organization will automatically receive a 20% donation instead of a 15% donation!

The Chuck E. Cheese school fundraising program is designed to be as turn-key possible, to eliminate some of the stress typically experienced with school fundraising.  We also believe this event gives students, faculty and parents an opportunity to interact outside of the daily routine. To help make your school’s event a success, we provide online tools to help promote your event.  Mailed to your school 21 days prior to your event are token stickers redeemable for 10 free tokens for each enrolled student, colored poster to promote and advertise your event.
