Matt Miller introduces EduMarking, a school resource company
This week in the School Zone, Matt Miller introduces EduMarking, a school resource company that supports improved literacy, numeracy and physical activity for children. From the floor of the Texas PTA Leadership Seminar, the School Zone Podcast welcomes David Joseph of EduMarking to the microphone.
EduMarking creates and covers playgrounds in a colorful and educational playground markings from thermoplastic. These engaging markings improve literacy, numeracy and physical activity for children. Although it has the same appearance of paint, thermoplastic is actually covering that is burned into the concrete and has a much longer lifespan. A similar type of surface is used on state highways and road systems for creating long-lasting lines and road signs. This non-slip playground surface is guaranteed to last up to six years, but can stay as long as ten years. Because most playgrounds have to be repainted every two years or so, the longevity of this product gives schools the biggest return on their money for a design or redesign of their playground. EduMarking products can be found throughout Europe and Australia and the company is excited to be making its debut in the United States.
